The spiritual and religious
life is both a corporate and a personal journey. Each of us is
responsible to seek a relationship with God and an understanding
of God that makes sense to us; at the same time, the community
of faith provides us with a wide range of resources and
relationships to help us in that process.
The community is a vital part
of one’s spiritual life throughout the life cycle, but it is
especially important at the beginning of one’s faith journey.
If you are just now beginning the journey of faith, please let
us know and give us the opportunity to help you in this vital
life-changing process.
The links below will take you
to a variety of resources regarding the Christian faith as it is
understood and practiced in the Episcopal Church. If you would
like to speak with our priest about your faith journey, please
phone the church office (336-249-7211) or send an email to
teking48@gmail.com.
As stated on our
home page, Grace Church is a place in which you will learn about
the essentials of the Christian faith, but will not be expected
to endorse a precise set of doctrines in order to feel at home.
Like all Anglicans, we at Grace Church believe that God is
revealed in holy scripture, in the traditions of the church, and
by means of the God-given reasoning skills with which we are
endowed.

How May I become a
member of Grace Episcopal Church?
There are three ways to
become a member here:
If you
have not been baptized,
you may join Grace Church by baptism, following consultation with the
rector and a period of instruction.
If you are
a member of another Episcopal church
you may transfer your
membership by requesting that the rector initiate such a transfer from
your previous parish.
If you are
a baptized member of another Christian church,
you may become a member of Grace Church by consulting with the rector
and having your baptism (and confirmation, when applicable) recorded in
the parish register.
In addition to these means of
becoming a member of Grace Church, we would encourage those who have not
been confirmed in the Episcopal Church to eventually follow their new
affiliation with Grace Church by participating in a period of
instruction and to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church
by one of the Bishops of the diocese.
