	Children’s Sunday School Grace Church Children’s Sunday School for ages 3 years through 6th grade meets on Sunday mornings from 9:45am - 10:45am. Nursery care is available for infants through age 2. More Info Journey to Adulthood The Journey to Adulthood program provides weekly learning events for grades 6 - 12 with a once a month special event outing for each group. More Info Adult Forum - Two classes - one on timely topics, the other is a Bible Study. Bible Workbench - Meets every Wednesday in the Commons Room at 1:00 pm for bible study, for more information contact Kathy Johnson Servant Leadership click for more information Brief Introduction to the Bible Six-week Bible study will take a brief look at the bible as a unique collection of spiritually-derived literature; and will examine a brief snapshot of each book with an eye toward its purpose and its role in the larger collection. Classes will be offered during two time-slots each week: Thursday mornings: October 2-November 6 10:00 - 11:30 am Tuesday evenings: September 23 - October 28 7:00 - 8:30 pm Where we start: Approaches to understanding the Bible These 66 books: Canonical, apocryphal, extra-canonical and non-canonical books The Bible's Outline: Types of Material in Old Testament, Apocrypha, New Testament Each Old Testament Book: Origin, Audience, Purpose Each New Testament Book: Origin, Audience, Purpose		Children's Sunday School - The planning committee for the Sunday school curriculum will meet Wednesday, August 13 at 7:00 in the upstairs Sunday school room. Fall Sunday School begins Sunday September 14 Adult Forum "Reclaiming the Word" from Living the Questions, an excellent and entertaining DVD series reflecting the best of contemporary theology and biblical scholarship, from a clearly liberal point of view. This video and discussion series (4-6 weeks) will be led by Kristi Allred. Nursery now in the Undercroft during the summer months. Please bring your children to the men’s vesting room. Nursery will return in original location in the Education Building starting September 14. Vestry Approves $2,000 to Refurbish Nursery over Summer Months Beginning Sunday, June 8, the nursery will be held in the men's vesting room in the Undercroft. This will allow for a much needed overhaul of the nursery to take place. During this time some plumbing repairs will be made, new flooring put in and a general spruce up of the walls and furnishings. Many of the toys and books are old and in disrepair. New items will be purchased for the nursery. During this time the men's choir robes and acolyte robes will be placed on the coat rack near the restrooms. We appreciate the choir members and acolytes understanding during this transition period. Toys and some furnishings will be brought to the vesting room to make it appealing for the young children to use during church services. Funding for this project comes from ear-marked income provided by the Blanche Byerly bequest. We are grateful for this gift that allows us to undertake occasional projects that our budget will not accommodate. .
