Acolytes:  Assist in public worship as crucifers, torchbearers, and as needed in other processional duties.  Assist the priest in setting and clearing the table for Holy Communion and receiving the alms.  If you are interested in becoming an acolyte, contact Sims Riggan at 249-6617 or rigganx4@lexcominc.net 

Altar Guild:  Prepares the altar table for each service, maintains the chancel hangings and communion ware. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Altar Guild, contact Sandra Husted 248-4934, Mary Williams

Bible Workbench: A weekly group who study the lectionary readings for the upcoming Sunday, employing a creative array of strategies to reflect on the personal and corporate significance of the lessons.  Currently this group meets every Wednesday in the Commons Room at 1:00pm. 

Choir:  Grace Church has a long standing history of excellent music.  New members are always welcome.  Choir practice is held each week during the school year at 7:30pm on Wednesdays.  If you are interested in joining the choir, contact Carole Gasque, Choir Director at 238-5324 or at cgasque@triad.rr.com 

5 35 Christian Education -- Children and Youth An excellent team of teachers provide Christian education to preschoolers and elementary-age children.  The Journey to Adulthood faculty who work with adolescents welcome volunteer help with activities sponsored by and for the young people. For more information about the young children’s classes contact Elizabeth Inabinett at 243-2952.  If your child is in 6-12grade, contact Sims and Cathy Riggan about the Journey to Adulthood Program 249-6617. 

5 34 Christian Education—Adults:  New facilitators are always welcome to help with the Adult Forum and other Sunday morning classes, as well as special events during the year. 

5 31 Faith and the Arts Committee:  Committed to the mutual influence of faith and the arts, this committee provides a variety of opportunities for the enhancement of faith through the visual and performing arts. 

5 9 Fellowship Dinner Groups: Every six months we put names in a hat and make groups of 8-12 people. People meet in each others homes for an easy meal and fellowship.  

Greeters:  Welcome those who come to worship, especially guests; help newcomers find their way around the building. 

Intercessors:  Assist in services of public worship by offering the Prayers of the People on behalf of the congregation. 

Lectors:  Assist in public worship by reading the lessons from Holy Scripture. 

Lay Eucharistic Ministers:  Assist in public worship by serving the wine during Holy Communion.  When authorized, may also take Communion to homes and hospitals. 

Lay Readers: Lead in services of public worship when a priest is not available.  May read an approved sermon, or when authorized, may preach their own sermon.  

5 24 Parish Commissions:  Ten groups of parishioners who oversee the various ministry opportunities and responsibilities of the parish.   

Pastoral Care Visitors:  A group of parishioners make monthly visits to homebound members of the church. If you are interested in becoming a Pastoral Care Visitor, contact Bonnie Duckworth 249-7211.

Social Hour Hosts:  Following the 11:00 service each Sunday there is a reception in the undercroft, hosted by volunteer individuals and families.  A sign-up list is kept in the church office. If you are interested in signing up, call Lauren at the church office 249-7211.

Ushers:  Assist in public worship by greeting and seating worshipers, receiving the alms during the service, and directing worshipers to the altar table for Holy Communion. 

5 29 Vestry:  The elected leadership of the congregation who serve the parish administratively and spiritually.
