Individual members of Grace Church are actively involved in many of the charitable, humanitarian and civic endeavors in Lexington and Davidson County:

Hospice,  Habitat for Humanity, Family Services, Lexington Memorial Hospital and Hospital Foundation Boards, Empty Stocking Fund Board, American Red Cross, United Way of Davidson County, Lexington Youth Theater, Arts United of Davidson County, Lexington YMCA Board, Life Center Board, Foster Care, Homeless Shelter, Meals on Wheels, Lexington Housing Community Development Corporation, Communities in Schools,  Davidson County Library Board, Lexington School Board, Services for the Hard of Hearing, Charity League, Medical Ministries, Pastors Pantry and others. 

The congregation has a formal helping relationship with the following agencies: 

Sunday Lunches: Every Sunday, Grace Church hosts a lunch for the homeless in our area. Eight local churches send volunteers to assist Grace members in preparing, serving and cleaning up.  40-50 men and women are served each Sunday.  

Habitat for Humanity:  For several years Grace Church has been active in the effort to help build homes with and for the working poor of Davidson County.  Funds are currently available to assist with an additional home when needed. 

Homeless Shelter:  Grace Church assists with the ministry of the Homeless Shelter in two ways;  Once per month members of the congregation prepare and serve a meal at the shelter, and men of the church occasionally spend nights at the shelter to assist the residents. 

Meals on Wheels:  Several members of Grace Church join volunteers from the community in delivering meals to homebound elderly and handicapped citizens each week. 

Pastors’ Pantry:  Each month Grace Church contributes nonperishable foods to this agency which provides emergency assistance to individuals and families. 

The following community groups periodically use the church’s facilities for meetings:
Guardian Ad Litem Training Program, Habitat for Humanity Board, Davidson County Democratic Women, Services for the Hard of Hearing of Davidson County, Boy Scout Eagle Awards Court, Davidson County Community College, Community Development Corporation, Communities in Schools
